Some of their other demands included naming of one of state universities after Chhatrapati Shivaji and establishment of Rajmata Jijabai’s and Chhatrapati Sambhaji’s statues in the city. “A statue of Rajmata Jijabai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji should be established in Indore district and one of the state universities of Madhya Pradesh must be named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” morcha coordinator Bhupendra Adsure said.
“If any crime is committed by a member of the Maratha community, or he is accused of some wrong doing, he must be identified by his surname and not his community name,” he added.
